CHEF SHINJI FURUKAWA of CENTURY TSUKIJI EMERGED VICTORIOUS @

2011 CHEFS ON PARADE

 With his entry called “VERNAL OF THE SEA”, the trophy L’Assiette d’Or and the Gold medal in the Japanese Boat competition category in the three-day festival Chefs on Parade 2011, was brought home by Century Park Hotel Japanese Chef Shinji Furukawa.

 The event dubbed as the “Ultimate Asian Showdown” held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City also earned for the hotel other recognitions as diplomas were also given to the hotel’s chefs for the different divisions like Cold Seafood Buffet Platter Freestyle, Cold Meat Buffet Platter Freestyle and Pastry Showpiece Freestyle where their skills and artistry in Asian culinary were cited.

 To celebrate their victory with Century Park Hotel’s patrons and friends, Chef Furukawa and the team were given the prestige to show their turf in a special Japanese Fusion menu last March and April 2011 which featured a version of the award-winning Japanese Boat.
