Mr. Bartholomi began his hospitality career with various positions as a chef in some of the most prestigious Michelin star restaurants in Belgium before his first Asian posting as sous chef in 1986 at the former Silahis Hotel in Manila. He then rose from the ranks and became the manager of Playboy Club Manila. Previously, he spent 4 years in Asia Pacific as Regional Director for Operations of Studebackers, a chain of luxury membership clubs and restaurants which has branches in Singapore, Sydney, Auckland, Bali, Manila, Bangkok, and Jakarta.

In 2000, Philippe undertook the role of general manager of the exclusive Manila Polo Club and maintained the impeccable standards of the oldest private membership club in Asia.

After 3 years, he joined Fridays Resort Boracay, an AAA Resort in Boracay Island, as the general manager. He also spearheaded the management, development and pre-opening of another Fridays resort in Mindoro.

As part of his local and community social responsibilities, Philippe was a highly-touted member of the Rotary Club of Boracay, a founding member of the Philippines Chamber of Commerce & Industry – Boracay and is an active Lieutenant-Commander of the Philippines Coast Guards Auxilliary (PCGA).

Philippe sits on the Board of Directors of the Hotel & Restaurant Association of the Philippines since 2005 up the end of this term in 2009.

In August 2008, Philippe joined the Century Park Hotel in Manila as the new General Manager. Mr. Bartholomi believes that “Harmony and unity of the management is very important for any hotel organization to improve and move forward—which also serves as my guiding principles.”  Aside from that, Mr. Bartholomi is a vivid inspiration to the team he leads, who openly discusses issues and ideas then comes up with a decision that everyone will agree on. Excited about his new assignment and with the challenges ahead, he adds, “I am very pleased and proud to join an organization like Century Park Hotel which has been around for 32 years and considered an institution in the Philippine hotel industry. I am also honored to lead a team that will help me plan and pave the way of Century Park Hotel’s future”.
